Does it get any more perfect than this? Peyton’s been on my ballet radar for months, and I’ve been dying to photograph her for about that long. This girl is STUNNING- she’s currently with The Washington Ballet, but as soon as I saw that she was going to be in France for a summer intensive with the Paris Opera Ballet, I knew we HAD to make something happen! And lucky for me, my time in Paris for our workshop overlapped with Peyton’s stay.
We began at one of my favorite spots in the city, Musée du Louvre, with the world’s most beautiful dusty blue taffeta circle skirt by Katherine Bignon. And even before my film came back from the lab, I knew this was going to be one for the books. I think the photographs speak for themselves, don’t they?
Peyton (and Aimee!)- thank you so very, VERY much for shooting with me!! These portraits are such an embodiment of everything I love, and I’m so grateful you were willing to meet me for an early morning shooting in my favorite city of the world!

OH MY GOSH these are unreal!! Abby, beautiful work, as always! So glad you were able to work with Peyton, she’s such a beautiful dancer!
OH, my! These were lovely! I can’t decide which one is my favorite. I really liked the one of her at the L’Arc de Triumph but those photos of her with that skirt almost fully exposed, they were magnificent! I’m so glad you can include your love for ballet in your job!
So, so, so stunning. You’ve outdone yourself, Abby dear!
Amazing!
Seriously incredible. Obsessed!!
These are absolutely beautiful, Abby. That skirt and the background colors…just wow! Love all of these!
