To be candid with you, I get really nervous before sessions with other photographers. Emily‘s an amazing maternity, birth + newborn photographer, and even though our subject matter is different, it’s still a bit intimidating at the outset. But I shouldn’t have worried at all- Mark & Emily are two of the most down-t0-earth people you’ll ever meet! They’re so comfortable together, so completely at home in their own skin, that it made capturing their authentic relationship together all the more natural and enjoyable.

I love how easily Mark makes elicit’s Emily’s dazzling smile, and how quickly she is to return the favor by making him laugh! And don’t even get me started on their wardrobe choices. Elegant to a T, and with the National Portrait Gallery as our backdrop, their session was the stuff of my daydreams.

Mark & Emily, thank you for such a wonderfully lovely afternoon! I’m so grateful you chose me to help document and celebrate this first year of marriage of yours- it was such an honor! You gave me a much-needed jolt of inspiration, I hope you know how thankful I am. Love to you both!
