Shooting for The Linchpin Co. is always, always a good time. I LOVE this crew- their energy, joie de vivre, and tack-sharp sense of humor makes my job so much more fun than I have any right to expect. Our first session was two years prior and delivered some of my favorite portfolio moments, so the challenge for this one was to up the ante. More of all the amazingness we created last time… PLUS the added assignment of B-roll!

Colleen mentioned that their social media manager kept asking for B-roll for Reels, but with all three team members based in different locations, footage of the team working together (and especially brand-cohesive footage) was hard to come by. It made absolute sense to capture that content while we were all in one place for their brand shoot, so their brand session ended up doing double duty to provide for content needs over the coming months!

I loved the opportunity to introduce movement into each scene! Turning a captivating photograph into engaging video content stretched me, and I can’t wait to see how they use these!

In addition to the B-roll assignment, Colleen also noted they needed more photos with options for negative space, and more photographs of the team spending time together without it necessarily looking like a work meeting. Some of my favorite photos from our shoot in October 2022 were lit with direct sun streaming through the windows, so my shoot plans this time around included plans for higher-contrast lighting and a bit of shadow play.

Variety AND volume were the name of the game, and we totally crushed this one!
