I remember the first time Megan and I met in person- it was during the first year I was taking weddings on my own, and I was still in the “is she going to like me? Dear Lord, PLEASE let her like me!” phase. I needn’t have worried- Megan showed up to our meeting all smiles and personality, and I knew within 30 seconds we were going to get along fabulously. Over the 15 months leading up to her wedding, she become one of my biggest cheerleaders and a dear friend; I’m still SO thankful she happened to stumble across my blogsite more than two years ago! And then when I finally got to meet Phil at their engagement session, I fell in love with the two of them all over again. Weddings are my drug of choice, but it can be such a bummer afterwards because I don’t have a specific reason to see my couples again, and these fun friends I’ve spent the last year getting to know and I go our separate ways.
But then Megan emailed me this past June and I remember just why I love her- she suggested an anniversary session :). YESSSS! Their bakery had plans to give them a first anniversary cake, so we incorporated that into their session to mark their first year of married bliss. I’ll never, ever get tired of photographing these two.
Phil & Megan, I am so incredibly thankful for you both. It’s not often that I get to photograph my couples three separate times and it was an absolute joy to celebrate your first anniversary in such a special way! Thank you, always thank you, for allowing me to document your love.
Happy, happy Tuesday!

Posed beautifully. And I’m glad he finally sprung for a ring for herself. They looked like a very handsome couple.
