Rows and rows of corn fields bordered the dirt road leading up to the house where she was getting ready that morning. She’d glance out the windows every few minutes to see if the sky was going to deliver on its threat of rain, not really caring whether it did or not, it was just something to do, something to pass the time until she got to see him that day. Her best friends, sister and mother fluttered around the house in various stages of readiness, and when it came time to don her dress, there were more than a few girls with running mascara as Lena’s momma zipped her up. She was ready; ready to see him, ready to hold his hand, ready to marry him. When they came face to face during their first look, the smile that overtook both Brent and Lena was one of utmost joy and contentment. Today? Well, today was going to be the best day ever.

Brent & Lena, your love is so sweet to behold. There’s a gentle-yet-fierce undercurrent in every embrace, and I walked away from your wedding day inspired and more in love with what I do than ever before. Thank you, from the tips of my toes, for, the joy of photographing your wedding. It was an honor I’ll never cease to be grateful for!
