Some way, somehow, it just keeps getting better! Every time I shoot with my girl Ashlyn Carter of Ashlyn Writes, we manage to out-do ourselves. It has been SUCH a thrill to watch her brand visuals solidify and become so incredibly recognizable over the last 3.5 years that we’ve been working together!
This was our fourth shoot together (see our first shoot here), and our focus was on 1) photos for her Fall 2022 campaign, the Homepage Homecoming Week (a week-long challenge where she taught how to write killer home page copy), and 2) continuing to build her library of on-brand photographs for general use throughout the Ashlyn Writes brand.
Some of my clients have higher visual needs than others, especially when you’re talking about the clients who have content creation down to a science. Ashlyn is one of those people. YouTube, blog, newsletter, social, Pinterest, she and her team are showing up everywhere, which means she tends to burn through photos more quickly than someone who puts out fewer visuals.
One thing I *love* about Ashlyn is how strategic she is about her brand photographs- by keeping her visuals fresh, it helps keep her audience engaged, hungry to see what she’s going to do next. So when we started talking about photos for her Fall campaign, I LOVED that she wanted to go all in on the old-school Ivy League/homecoming vibes. And then seeing the photos pop up ALL over social media, her sales page, and emails during her launch was so much fun!
