These photos have been a long time coming. Tim called me up last summer to ask if I could do a photo session with him and Molly for their five year anniversary. I was beyond excited- I remember being at their wedding, and Tim and Molly have only gotten better since.

I scheduled the session for July 5th at 9 am. Terrible idea. It was 88 degrees at the beginning of the shoot, and though we only attempted to shoot for about 40 minutes, it was up to nearly 95 by the time we called it quits. Oh, and the humidity was the kind that makes even the straightest hair curl into an unruly frizz.

So we decided to reschedule. And through a series of freak 24-hour flus, bad weather and booked weekends, we didn’t get back together until this past Sunday. ELEVEN MONTHS LATER. Needless to say, I was (AM) completely embarrassed, but their six-year anniversary isn’t until this Satuday. So they’re still technically “five-year-anniversary photos!” I mean come on… am I right?

Molly and Tim, I can only hope that when I’ve been married for five, almost six years, that I will still be as hopelessly in love with my husband as you two are with each other. I envy the way you care for and pursue one another selflessly and without abandon. It was an honor to document your love.
