Welp, this weekend was Awesome. That’s right, with a capital A and everything. Exhausting, definitely, but over-the-top amazing in every way. I had the treat of second shooting on Saturday for Justin & Mary, and yesterday I had a wedding of my own, so I currently feel as though I’ve been run through a taffy puller. But I’m on such a high right now!

As always, lessons learned/things that transpired over the weekend:

• Am I think only one who unlocks my phone and then completely forgets why I did so? Whenever this happens, I usually just open and close random apps until I happen upon the one I originally picked up my phone to use in the first place.
• Also, opening an app and blanking on why you did so is like walking into a room and forgetting why you’re there.
• I’ve been researching and booking flights quite a bit lately and there’s nothing that throws me off like forgetting there’s this key thing called  TIME ZONES. “Whoa, a flight to Los Angeles only takes three hours? Nice! Wait- why does it take eight hours on the way ba- oooh.”
• When looking up the actual time the sun rises in order to establish a start time with your couple  for a dawn portrait session, make sure you’re looking up the correct STATE. Who knew there was also a Middleburg, Florida?
• I really like that Avicii song, Wake Me Up. So does Matt- he described it as “techno, with a bluegrass flavor.”
