Someone should make a happy song about Mondays, like Rebecca Black’s “Friday,” only more awesome and less awful. And then Glee should do a rendition and make it that much more popular, because let’s be honest, “Monday, Monday” by The Mamas and the Papas is just plain depressing.
And now it’s time for things I learned this weekend!
- Before shooting a wedding where approximately 25% of the guests are Venezuelan , be sure to brush up on your Spanish skills. Simply knowing “gracias” probably isn’t enough.
- Live bands at weddings are my new absolute favorite thing!
- Be sure to have a photo bag that can fit all of your equipment. Otherwise, you run the risk of leaving a most important lens in the drawer in your hotel room (because it was the best hiding spot you could think of in the event you get robbed), realizing in a panic that you don’t have it, and are forced to ask your second shooter to retrieve it for you (thank you, Currie!!!!)
- Related to #3, I’ll be shopping for a ThinkTank bag today…
- Grilled cheese made anywhere but in my kitchen = not worth it. People, you have to SMUSH the sandwich to give it maximum impact!
