Hellooo blogosphere! I think there’s something about the prospect of cooler months on the horizon that makes me feel more domestic- in the last two weeks, I’ve baked cobblers, canned my own peach jam, and experimented with an immersion blender for butternut squash soup. And there’s a pot of ham hocks and beans simmering on the stove as I write this. Yep, autumn definitely makes me feel like I can do anything. No idea why that is, because you’re talking to the girl who BURNED SPAGHETTIOS last summer.
I made a wreath yesterday! Again with the whole “I can do anything September-December” attitude- I made a wreath last year for fall as well… and then didn’t make/purchase one for any other season. Weird how that works out.
As always, lessons learned/events that transpired over the last week:
One more preview from Chris & Chrissy’s wedding this weekend- get outta here with all of that gorgeousness.
Happy Monday!
Update: my ham and bean soup finished- it has the consistency of refried beans. There goes my bid for the title of Domestic Goddess.

absolutely gorgeous image!
Haha I love your Monday Mash-Ups! This one in particular cracked me up, because I’ve been neglecting the domestic side of myself for weeks. My poor hubby! haha Oh, and GORGEOUS preview! Can’t wait to see that wedding! 🙂
I love this 🙂 I’m a 5-meal staple gal myself, but come fall I’m trying a new soup every night! Something about the change in weather making me feel free and adventurous! And I feel you on the Ezekiel Bread! I used to have to eat that – and only that – bread growing up and it was rough! I found the sesame variety (and toasted!! Must be toasted!) to be the least carpet-tasting! 🙂
PS: Cannot wait to see Chris & Chrissy’s wedding! OMG beautiful preview!
“Why are all of these about food?” Hahaha best point of the day! 🙂
The wreath looks awesome. I love all of your food tips this week! 7.5 cups of sugar does sound entirely ridiculous, I agree.
No lie I’ve been waiting for Monday Mash-up all day. This sneak peek was just the sweet bit I needed to make me even more excited to see Thursday! Gorgeous. Ahh
Beautiful photo! Love the wreath. Great job. Did you cook the bean soup too long?
you. crack. me. up. you’re still a domestic diva in my book, just for attempting all those things!
I want some peach jam…
