Well, well, well. Monday, we meet again.

^ I don’t actually have a problem with Mondays (I love them!), I’ve just been wanting to say that. This weekend was awesome, everything that I needed after a rough week- it was relaxing, encouraging, inspiring, and I even managed to slip some work in there without realizing it. To some, that sounds like a travesty, ruining a good weekend with a bit of work. But for me, I just love what I do so much that the line between leisurely enjoying an activity I love and “work” gets blurred more often than you’d think. Matt & I have worked really hard to establish boundaries for a healthy work/life balance, like no emails after 6 pm, no working or emails on the weekends (unless it’s a wedding, obviously), etc. But when Matt’s over at a friend’s house playing board games, I don’t see an issue with firing up my laptop and mapping out my big dreams (more on that on Wednesday!).

As always, lessons learned/things that have transpired over the past week:

• Awesome way to torture a photographer: send them an email saying “Your film scans from Europe are ready!” when you know they won’t be able to download said scans for another four to five hours. 
• Best part about doing our weekly long runs on the W&OD trail: blackberries! They grow all along the trail in clumps so I kept my eyes out for snacks during my dad & I’s run on Saturday- nothing will give me more of a much-needed burst of energy at mile 12 than seeing plump black berries on a vine up ahead.
• I’ve found the perfect nail polish- it’s THIS Sally Hansen line. No need for a pre-coat or topcoat- just two layers of this stuff and you’re golden! I never paint my nails because it typically begins to chip the next day, but I painted my nails on Thursday and it just began to show very signs of wear yesterday. And it’s so glossy!
