It’s Monday again! Funny how that seems to happen every week, right?

I’ve been sitting here, trying to describe just why I love Easter so much, and I can really come up with is this song by Matt Maher. Give it a listen- I heard for the first time at the Easter service last year as they were baptising a throng of new Christians and it pulled at my heart like a ton of bricks. I wanted to write some sort of heavy, hard-hitting Easter post but every time I tried it felt forced, so rather than having you all read a post that didn’t com naturally, just listen to that song if you have a couple of minutes!

So… totally unrelated to Easter, this past Saturday I hosted my first ever boudoir marathon day for a few of my brides and I am SO excited with how well it went! I won’t be sharing these images but I’m hoping that I WILL be able to host another marathon day for my girls this fall/winter. Wooo!

Things I learned this past weekend:

• Do not step out onto your rooftop terrace at your hotel without first making sure the door stays unlocked- otherwise you run the risk of having the door slam behind you and you having to climb out onto a ledge to yell for someone to please call the front desk for you. Charming.
• No matter how hard you try, you simply cannot stuff a champagne cork back into the bottle after it’s open. Just do yourself a favor and bring a wine stopper.
• If you set a champagne bucket full of half-melted ice down on the floor, your dog will inevitably drink out of it.
• False lashes make it hard to blink, and if you get tired of wearing them at a restaurant and peel them off on an impulse, all of your liquid eyeliner will inevitably come off with them.
