I’m going to have the strangest collection of images once we’re home. Half the time I’ve been shooting on film, and the other half the time I’ve had my mk3 with me. I was hoping to put everything into an album once I’m done, and it’ll end up being a mash of digital snapshots and more artistic film shots, so maybe I’ll put them into two separate books, just to avoid the headache :).
We traveled into London yesterday for our second day around the city (we’re staying in Hemel Hempstead, about 25 miles from the city), and since I had my digital with me I actually have photos to share! My dad’s been asking to see images to live vicariously through our travels, so Dad, here you go! Enjoy!
Hahaha we look like such tourists.
YESSS!!!
I am totally in love with the Baker Street tube station!
Sherlock Holmes’ flat!
This is one of the things I LOVE about London- everywhere you turn there are little reminders of the hundreds of years of history and culture.
The tiling at the Baker Street underground.
Let me explain this photo- my dad has done two tours of Europe, one with each of the brothers, and each one of them has a photo at this exact phone booth. My mom and I each have one as well, and now Matt is officially part of the UK photo family.
Westminster Abbey
Harrods!
Whatcha think? Anyone got the travel bug now? π

Oh my goodness. These are all beautiful. Add London to my list of wanted international trips!!!
You’re much more convincing in your Platform 9 3/4 shot than Matt is… he needs to embrace his inner wizard a little more! π
Looks like a blast!! Hope to go back in a few years!
officially jealous — we went to London in 2009 and saw buckingham palace and got to go inside — went to westminster abbey so breath taking beautiful and the history inside of that place wow — BIG BEN….I loved how on the sidewalks they would write — look right before you crossed the roads…and yet my husband ALWAYS looked the other way.
I am not gonna go look through my pics….enjoy your visit there and please keep posting pics….love seeing them!
