YESSS! I’ve been itching to do a Gabby Tuesday post for a while now but my blogging schedule hasn’t called for one until now. Today’s vlog is all about shot lists and how I handle requests to shoot with one. This is allllll just my personal opinion, so please feel free to disagree!
Things to take note of:
*Update: I DO ask for a shot list for family formals! That’s the one part of the day that I need a solid list of the images my brides and grooms want- they know their families better than I do, and a “one size fits all” approach for family photos doesn’t work with every couple.
Happy Tuesday!

Completely agree, sweetie! I don’t use them either and for all the same reasons. Gotta keep that head up and be observant! 🙂
GABBY TUESDAYSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!
love the “shot list” font on the video 🙂
You are very resourceful! When the day comes, I’ll definitely be thinking about this 🙂
Well said, Abby! Totally agree!
You are adorable! Our photographer asked for a list and I did provide one, but he didn’t get all the shots I listed. This was because he was shooting in the moment instead of according to my list. I think what you are saying makes perfect sense!
Totally agree except for family portrait time. I use on there so that I can crank throughout the images without asking the bride what she wants on her wedding day. Otherwise I totally agree 🙂
Um so I just wanted to say your earrings remind me of Harry Potter. I also feel like I might have said that before to you…or this is a deja vu…lol.
Yup, makes sense to me! I love Gabby Tuesday 🙂
Makes total sense, and I think you have a great way of gently saying no. Great points!
