I’d had a long day last Saturday- up at 5 am so that I could leave by 6 am to be with a bride at the salon at 7 am. By the time I got home, I was exhausted. My feet hurt, my arms were dead, and my shoulders were tight from lugging around my huge bag of photography equipment. Suffice to say, all I wanted to do when I got home was veg.
Matt was lovely enough to come out to the car and carry my bag in, so I was free to shuffle listlessly down the hall to our little abode. It’s a good thing I had both hands free, too, because when I opened the door to the apartment, Draco Malfoy was there, wand out, ready to Avada Kedavra me (he probably heard about my mad skills/allegiance to all things good and pure and wanted to eliminate me before I become too legit).
After recovering from my initial shock, I laughed. My dad had called me on my way home to let me know he’d stopped by with a small gift for me. Clearly, this 8-foot movie theater display was it.
I called him, still laughing, and asked where the heck he’d found it. He said he’d come upon it being discarded from a theater and managed to sneak away with it, because he knows what a Harry Potter fanatic I am.
Thanks, Dad. Your mind works in ways I will never understand, but this was seriously awesome.
Happy Tuesday!
