Brand photography can be a dangerous field to work in, because it seems like after every session, I leave with another new person I need to hire for my own life. It was exactly like that with Rachel’s brand session in Greenwich- “One day, I’m going to hire her to photograph our family!”

See, Rachel is an incredible family photographer, someone who her families bring back year after year after year. She captures these kids from newborn portraits all the way through their senior pictures, accompanying her clients on their family vacations to document their lives in an organic, unposed way. The life books she puts together for her clients tell the story of a child’s life from 0-18, and I can only imagine what a treasure these books are for her families.

For the last part of her session, I had the chance to observe and photograph Rachel interacting with one of her kiddos, and it was such a delight to see how conversational her approach is! Her tiny clients LOVE being in front of her camera, and from my point of view, a huge part of that is just how relaxed Rachel is during her sessions. She really does capture the essence of a child’s personality.
