When your bride & groom tell their parents that they really want their wedding + reception to feel like Thanksgiving dinner, you KNOW it’s going to be a day full of sweetness! My favorite part of Becky & Ryan’s day was that it was planned with joy. Decadent details and stunning florals, absolutely, but all of those gorgeous visual elements were simply a manifestation of the cheer & joy with which the day was envisioned!

To give you an idea… all the chinoiserie used during cocktail hour and dinner were part of her mother’s collection, with embroidered napkins to compliment the blue & white patterns. The entire fête took place at her parents’ home; a few of the recipes served (executed perfectly by Susan Gage Catering) were from the family’s own kitchen. The number of guests was intimate to stay true to that original “family dinner” feel that Becky & Ryan wanted to preserve.

From beginning to end, their wedding day was about celebrating their new family, and the family members around them! It was so sweet to behold, especially with how much Becky & Ryan involved their kids in everything from getting ready to the ceremony to sharing in those first few bites of wedding cake. They were just so excited to be married, and to officially be a family of four!

Becky & Ryan- thank you, thank you, thank you for trusting me with your wedding day memories! You both are such a delight, and the joy that characterized your celebration left me floating for days and days! It was such a privilege to be there to capture Day 1 of your marriage. Lots of love to you all!
