I shudder to think about how I used to “organize” my film. I think my system in 2012 consisted of tossing a few rolls of 120 film into the bottom of my Kelly Moore bag… and if I remembered, bringing a ziplock bag along with me to keep them all put together. Eventually my system improved to separating out my exposed and unexposed rolls into TWO different gallon-sized plastic bags.

Keepin it classy.

Many of you know that I began shooting film in 2012, but it took me FIVE solid years before I finally plucked up the courage to implement film into my wedding days… and no doubt, a large part of that delay was caused by my lack of an organized system, both on wedding days and then in the following days & weeks!

Fortunately, I’m married to a man who has the gift of seeing needs and MEETING them, sometimes before I even realize I’m in need. And such was the story here. Matt saw my messy “system” and created a better one, one that is both polished AND effective!

So today’s Bite-Size Business episode is all about how to organize your film on wedding days to ensure you grab the right rolls when you need them, and never misplace another roll again!
