The first time I heard Adrienne speak, we were in a group conversation about what to do when you’re feeling stuck on an issue. Adrienne said something to the effect of “I never worry about facing a problem I can’t solve, because I know that if I don’t have the answer, I can go out and find someone who does.”

Mic drop.

That’s Adrienne- she’s confident, assured, and one of the strongest people I’ve ever met. She’s the founder and CEO of Powerplay Media, a firm specializing in Facebook ads, and she’s the definition of “a force to be reckoned with.” It had been a little while since Adrienne had updated her brand photos, and with the number of ads she runs for her own company, volume and variety are key to any shoot she invests in. I knew one of our goals for the day would be to switch outfits often to give her as MUCH longevity out of her full-day shoot as possible.

I was a little intimidated by the challenge of illustrating the idea of Facebook ads in a photograph- I didn’t want to just settle for photos of Adrienne on her computer, but as an ads expert, Adrienne knew those photographs DO perform well with her audience. So we set our sights on a combination of portraits of Adrienne, photographs with her laptop, and images of Adrienne at work.

The skies on the day of our shoot were grey and overcast, which meant getting creative with our lighting setups (the anthem of 2022!). I’m really pleased with the final result, and I’ve loved seeing how much Adrienne’s been able to put these to work, from ads to slide decks to Reels covers!
