Shawn & Ashley will always hold a special place in my heart. They’ve been together since Ashley’s freshman year at Radford, and I’ll NEVER forget that one Cru meeting when Shawn proposed by way of a game in front of the entire group of students. Ashley and I went on to room together our senior year, along with four other girls, and though Shawn had graduated and moved back home to start a job, I felt like I got to know him through Ashley. They really are perfect for each other- I never saw her smile as much as she does when she’s with him, and the way he looks at her is enough to make any girl wish for someone of their own to do the same.
These two have been with me since the very beginning of my ventures in photography- they were my FIRST engagement session, my first anniversary session, and now they’re my first maternity love shoot. When Ashley asked me hesitantly if I’d be willing to photograph them during her third trimester, it was an absolute “YES!” without an question. Maternity photography isn’t my area of specialty, I only offer it to my close friends and family, but when you’re capturing some you love it somehow comes completely naturally.
Shawn & Ashley, thank you for trusting me with these images! I’m so excited for you guys in this next chapter of life and I cannot WAIT to meet little Luda, whenever he or she may arrive. Also, Ashley, you are ridiculously beautiful at nearly 8 1/2 months of pregnancy. I’m going to start praying now that I have half your good fortune.

SO beautiful Abby! I know you don’t normally do maternity sessions but… you totally should. You made this WAY more about the couple than about the belly and I LOVE that. It feels so authentic and natural – just like your images always do. Love love love!
WHY slash HOW is she so stunning? I want to be her. I love this shoot!
SO perfect!! What a gorgeous couple and captured so fabulously!!! Love your sweet words, your love for these two shines through your images!! 🙂
Gorgeous, Abby!
