Happy Monday, friends! Last week was, simply put, the best. The BEST! First we had The Event with Justin & Mary, and seven more of the industry’s finest creatives. Then we had the most wonderfully lovely vow renewal the world has ever known on Thursday, to celebrate Matt & I’s fifth anniversary! It was a total dream, and I’ll be shamelessly stalking J&M’s IG/FB/blog in the coming weeks in anticipation of seeing the lot of photos. No use pretending otherwise!

In other news, I got hooked on Downton Abbey just over a week ago, and ho.ly. cow. How did I miss this train earlier?! Not only is it all things elegant and British (so, basically, heaven), it has me wanting to say things like “I’ll not be bothered” and “Mr. Carson, would you be so kind as to bring us tea?”

I don’t even know anyone named Mr. Carson.

All that to say, my Anglophilia is back in full swing. And you’ll probably finding me abandoning my afternoon coffee in favor of tea this week… or at least for as long as it takes me to finish binge watching all the Amazon Prime has to offer.

Dear God, thank you for Amazon Prime. Amen.

As always, lessons learned/events that transpired over the past week!

• I got to wear my first pair of Kate Spade glittery heels and it was every bit as wonderful as I thought it would be. Jolly good!
• ^^^Darn you, Downton.
• The only problem with being a paper-and-pencil kind of person is when you LOSE a notebook with all your precious notes in it. Cue: panic!
• And then you find that it was really just behind your computer the whole time, and your panic has caused your smallest pup to seek refuge in the bathtub.
• Which makes NO sense, because Lily hates baths! But sure enough, every time I stress out about something, she thinks it’s her fault and hide in the shower.
• One of my goals for this year is to drink less coffee. I keep tricking myself into thinking that having a second cup, one in the morning and another in the afternoon, will calm my nerves when I get anxious. But it never does! It only turns me into a stressed out maniac who can’t seem to stop working. It’s not cute…
