Their two worlds first crossed in a dorm room at UMD College Park. He recalls that he was watching soccer on TV, but she assures me it was actually The Notebook. It turns out the dorm wasn’t done with them yet, and they shared another milestone in the stairwell- a first kiss. As the years trundled on, it became apparent to everyone in G + C’s lives that this was real, true, and forever. So after an evening of heightened build-up with opportunities for proposals galore, Clarisse headed home, completely dejected, only to find their living room alight with the luminous glow of hundreds of candles. And there he was- G on one knee with the most important question he’d ever asked her. And then there we all were, a little over a year later, watching these two make a promise to each other in front of family and friends who had traveled from all over the world to witness their love.

G + C I LOVE you two. You all kept me laughing the entire day, and they way you love each other is nothing sort of fierce. I love your enthusiasm, your passion, your utter zeal for one another. Thank you a thousand times over for giving me the opportunity to photograph your wedding day! I don’t know if I’ve ever had such a good time shooting! I hope the Maldives are nothing short of absolute paradise.

C told me ahead of time they’d be doing a Brazilian truffle bar, but I clearly didn’t realize all that entailed until I arrived. That entire table is laden with CHOCOLATE.
