Katrina’s products have stood out from her competitors from the beginning- the colors, the brushstrokes, the artisanal nature of her pieces, all of it. She began Lindale Studios at least five years ago, and of all the styling mats I’ve owned, her pieces are the only ones still in my rotation!
Over the last few years, it’s been such an encouragement to witness her evolution and development as an artist and as a business owner- she is an uncommonly gifted artist with an especial talent for color theory, but it takes more than just being good at your craft to go the distance.
Katrina’s taken the “CEO” title seriously, and it SHOWS. This girl is on fire- she stands above anyone else in her field, art-wise, and she’s on a path to longevity because she’s treating her business like a BUSINESS. I love watching her offers evolve and seeing how she’s crafting a business that works WITH her life, instead of being run by her business.
I already had two brand sessions for Katrina under my belt- this one in 2021 and this one in 2022– and for her third shoot, we focused much of our attention on her newest offer, the Brand Color Analysis, where Katrina helps business owners harness the story and heart of their brand through art & color so they can stand out with ease (love that description, btw!). Whereas so many business owners choose colors for their brands in a haphazard way, Katrina helps you dig into the theory and purpose and feeling behind color selection- I’ve LOVED seeing her lean into this new line of messaging!
We also captured content for her Brand Package, which I’m OBSESSED WITH for my brand clients!! It’s a set of hand-painted mats and a backdrop in your own brand colors, which is SO clutch for head shots, flat lays, and product photos on the day of a shoot… but also super helpful in the even that my clients ever need to take a few of their own photos and need a clean, on-brand backdrop for the occasion. It’s an *instant* uplevel and I want all of my clients to have one!
We started out with a collection of flat lays, all styled by Katrina on differently-colored styling mats with detailed pulled to coordinate with the palette and emotion of each shade, and then we moved on to storytelling-type vignettes to help communicate her color analysis and brand package offers. This is the stuff my brand session dreams are made of!
Katrina, thank you for trusting me over and over with your brand imagery. I don’t take it for granted that you have your pick of talented photographers, and I’m so grateful to have had another opportunity to capture your gorgeous work and inspiring process! It’s going to be a challenge to keep myself from overwhelming my portfolio with frames from this session…
