As I was ticking off days on my countdown to our Europe trip, I found myself really wishing I’d had an opportunity to schedule a shoot in Paris. France has been on my list of places I must visit since I was 14, and now that I’m a photographer, it’s also been on my list of places I must shoot. Luckily for me, Joel & Michelle were also planning to be in Paris for a five-year wedding anniversary celebration at the same time and were looking to have a session to mark their trip. My friend Sarah put a call out to find a photographer for Joel & Michelle, and a few days later we’d made plans to shoot in Paris.

God has this crazy awesome way of making my ridiculous dreams turn into remarkable reality- Joel & Michelle were such an absolute dream to photograph! They’re both so kind, genuine and fun to be around, and Matt & I departed from their session feeling like we’d just made two new friends. The morning started out a bit foggy and rainy, but Joel & Michelle were champs- after all, we were in Paris, so life was good any way we sliced it.

Joel & Michelle, thank you. I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed spending the morning with you both, and how much I appreciate the opportunity to document you two before you become three! I hope these images serve as a reminder of your fierce commitment and one heck of a vacation!
