Summer is my favorite time of year. I love the heat, the rain, the sound of the ice-cream truck, everything. But more on that later. One of my favorite things about summertime in Reston, VA is the Reston Festival. It’s this awesome craft/food/fun activities fair that comes to Reston Town Center (my favorite place in Reston) every June, and it’s always a good time. They close down the streets of the Town Center to make way for the hundreds of white tents, filled with every sort of craft you can imagine, politicians, roofing companies, etc.

It’s like a smorgasbord of everything you never knew you needed.

This year I brought my camera to document the Festival. Although it was smaller than it has been in years past, we still had a good time. I definitely recommend staying on the lookout for next years festival!

Not gonna lie- this guy weirded. me. out. He was offering five-minute massages, but the tribal shirt and cut-offs were a little strange for me. Sort of like the kindergarten teacher from Family Guy.

It’s not a festival until someone gets their face painted.
