Dan’s reaction when he first saw Julie is the sort of look that every bride dreams of seeing on her groom’s face on their wedding day. When the music swelled in St. Joseph’s church and the doors were flung open for Julie & her dad, Dan’s face lit up. “Oh wow… oh, WOW,” he repeated. Take a second, clear the joyful tears, and back to marveling as his bride drew closer and closer to him. He was so preoccupied with taking in her beauty that he didn’t actually hear the priest ask them to face toward the front of the sanctuary- he just kept his eyes trained on Julie.
They were just so excited to be MARRIED. Yes, the details of the day certainly mattered to them (and Christie of Grit & Grace pulled those off flawlessly) But at the end of it all the “being wed” part was the bit that had them most looking forward to October 15, 2016. Just a chance to call one another husband & wife.
Dan & Julie, it was such an honor to be there to capture your first day as Mr. & Mrs. From the ceremony to portraits at the Lincoln Memorial to your incredibly enthusiastic rendition of “Bless The Rains Down In Africa,” I had a smile on from start to finish. Thank you, thank you!! xoxo
