Nitin & Chelsea’s wedding was my first one after Felix was born, and I could not have asked for a better couple + family to come back into weddings with! The thing I love most about these two is how much they kept their eyes on what mattered most- getting married. Two families coming together to celebrate the formation of a NEW family, and doing so with such joy and enthusiasm!

Chelsea was the very picture of bridal calm as she laced up her Nikes (I cannot express how much I love that she wore white kicks), meanwhile Nitin and his groomsmen were joking and getting ready a few floors below. We headed off to the church where Chelsea was baptized as a child, and beneath the blue starry skies of St. Mary’s Parish, they exchanged vows and traditional Hindu varmala (floral garlands). As they recessed back down the aisle to the tune of applause from 300 family and friends, their joy was palpable, with his huge smile and her bouquet fist pump the perfect picture of “oh my gosh, we DID it!”

Nitin & Chelsea, it was such a privilege to be your wedding photographer! I’m grateful for every minute I got to spend with you two, and seeing your families’ exuberance at your union was a beautiful reminder of what’s kept me coming back to weddings for more than a decade. Thank you, thank you for being so authentically you on your wedding day, allowing the potential stressors to roll off your backs while you simply existed in the moment. Big, big hugs to you both!
