I think I actually get more nervous about head shots for other photographers that I do about weddings! It’s a huge compliment to be asked by another photographer to capture their new portraits, but I then tend to overthink everything- “what will they think about my posing technique? What about my editing? Oh my gosh, what if I wear the wrong thing?”
After about two minutes in Alicia’s company though, I was completely at ease. Alicia’s an incredible photographer and business owner based in Connecticut, and her down-to-earth personality, plus the fact that she’s a total beauty, made photographing Alicia and her sweet little family a dream. This woman knows business- she has an eye for classic portraiture and heart for people! And I was SO grateful to have a chance to photograph her at one of my favorite locations in the country- Yale’s campus is always stunning, and New Haven in the fall left me utterly enchanted!
Alicia, thank you so much for the opportunity to spend the morning with you (and a few minutes with Adam & Atlas!). It was such a privilege to make the trip up for your portrait session, and having you in front of my lens was inspirational. Thank you for one of the best autumn mornings I’ve ever had!
