“I never understood the sentiment ‘when you know, you know’ until I met him. And then all of a sudden, it made sense to me.” These two are head over heels for one another, and it only takes about two minutes in their presence to that for yourself! My first email from Shannon left me grinning from ear to ear- her joie de vivre and enthusiasm at the prospect of being his wife reminded me of how I felt when Matt & I got engaged. And during their engagement session, the way they spoke to and about one another was such a joy to witness- full of respect, adoration, and joy.

On the wedding day, with Shannon being the former Miss New York + Aaron in his Coast Guard dress whites, these two worked it during bride + groom photos. Add to that the fact that Shannon specifically planned the timing of it all so that their romantic portraits fell during golden hour? Love, love, love! These two are everything I LOVE about my job! And I couldn’t believe how talented Shannon and her family members + friends are- there was music throughout the entire day. Her siblings sang to the new Mr. & Mrs. during the ceremony, one of Shannon’s best friends Nicole sang their first dance song, Shannon’s father sang to her during the welcome toast, and Shannon sang an original song to Aaron after dinner. It was incredible.

Aaron & Shannon, it was such an honor to be there to capture this stage of your love story. Your excitement was palpable, and I could not have asked for a more incredible couple to finish my year off with. Thank you so much for allowing me in for the most important day of your lives thus far! I hope you’re absolutely loving Mexico!
