This day was a long time coming. They’ve been together for seven years now, and after watching her two sisters tie the knot in 2013 and 2014, it was finally their turn. Both of them nervous as the morning ticked on, it wasn’t until their first look that the anxiety fully gave way to unadulterated joy. I loved how close they stayed to each other throughout the night- he couldn’t seem to take his eyes off her, making sure he had as many dances with his brand new wife as possible.
Married in the same church as big sister Jackie and twin sister Erika, this would be the third and final Schafer daughter to walk down the aisle at Holy Trinity in Georgetown, so they made sure to do it in style- an exit in a 1952 Bentley, signature drinks at a stunning reception at the DAR headquarters, dancing the night away beneath the stars and city lights to the tune of their favorite songs. It was Patrick & Katie to a T- elegant, refined, and so much fun!
Patrick, Katie, your wedding day was a dream. Your love is the stuff of fairy tales, and Katie, hearing you describe Patrick as your prince to your sweet flower girl made me melt. I hope you’re LOVING Zihuantanejo, soaking up every minute of newlywed bliss!
