A love story that began in a Bible study and has since spanned the globe came full circle this past Saturday. With nearly 200 friends and family in attendance, Greg and Sarah made the commitment of a lifetime- to have and to hold, to love and to cherish. Greg’s last name, “Humble,” was more than an appropriate descriptor for these newlyweds. Both gentle spirits, both with a heart to serve one another and those around them. Soon after Greg’s covert proposal operation in Rhode Island last year, he deployed to Afghanistan where he spent most of their engagement, and so the waiting period began. Sarah kept things moving along with wedding plans and preparing for their move to Italy where they’ll spend their first two years of marriage, but it wasn’t until he was back home that all was well again. And so their wedding day, as much of a celebration of marriage as it was, it was also a celebration of a welcome home, of the reuniting of two souls, of the beginning of an incredibly exciting adventure.
Greg & Sarah, I am so, so thankful for the both of you. I can’t even express to you how much I appreciate you allowing me the honor of documenting your wedding day, so I’ll just simply say “thank you.” Thank you for your warm friendship, for making me feel welcome, and for following wherever God calls you. I hope Jamaica is as warm and relaxing as you’ve imagined, and I wish you all the best in Italy!
The fact that Greg & Sarah decided to have an unplugged wedding made me love them even more!
I’ll own that it didn’t rain as forecasted, but I really wanted to use the umbrella I’d spent all night searching for.
When Sarah told me they were hosting the entire wedding on a coffee roasting floor, I KNEW it was going to be amazing. Ladies and gentlemen? May I present The Roasterie!
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Humble!

I think I liked the B & W of the two of them sihouetted on the window ledge. (Darn, can’t spell that word.) Anyway, they are in the window and the light blocks all but their shapes. Classic. There were so many others to love, too! Great job! Mom
