Last Monday I shot my third annual “just for me” session- these get better and better every year! You can read a little more about these sessions HERE, but essentially I’ve taken a shining to doing one shoot a year as a chance for me to practice without the added pressure of a crunched wedding day timeline. It’s such a good exercise for me and every time, I come away feeling like a stronger photographer- because I get to choose the couple, the location and the timing, I was able to tailor the shoot to something that I felt was a strong match for me, my brand, and my style. It was REALLY fun!

Thad & Rachel were such a dream! Not everyone is as bright and chipper as I am at 5:30 am, but these two were such a delight. Thank you so much for coming all the way up to Reston, you two! I can’t thank you enough and these will forever be some of my favorite images. And a huge thank you to Rachel of Floral & Bloom for heeding my completely last-minute request for a bouquet- how gorgeous are these florals??
