Well, it’s that time of year again. The time when Forever 21 and Express sell more glitter dresses in a one-week period than the rest of the year combined, the time when you can’t walk into a grocery store without being assaulted by at least three champagne displays, and the time of year when people resolve to become a better version of themselves come January 1.
A new year, a new start. 2012 will be an entirely different ball game, and as for me? I can’t wait to start swinging. Here’s a glimpse of what I hope to achieve in the New Year:
1. Run the Marine Corps Marathon again, and run it in less than 4 hrs 30 min.
2. Blog five times a week
3. Be consistent about daily devotions
4. Make a healthy, homecooked meal at least once a week (I know, it’s sad that I’m not already doing this!)
5. Spend less time on Facebook!
6. *___________* (This one’s a secret, but I promise to let y’all know when I reach it!)
I think I wrote this “wish list” in May and I just found it again a few weeks ago. I love finding stuff like this because it reminds me just how much God’s freely given me this year!
Wish me luck- this is my first year making REAL goals! Do you make resolutions? Have you ever actually kept one for the entire year?
Happy Friday!

Running a marathon is on my list too!! I haven’t figured out which one yet though lol. I just feel like if Biggest Loser contestants can run one, so can I!
Ditto to #3… WHY is that my resolution EVERY year?! I don’t like to call them “Resolutions,” but, I do tend to make goals at the beginning of the year, or at least just reflect on things I need to or would like to work on. Haven’t decided on what will officially be my goals of 2012!
Oh oh! And I offer to help with #4 if you want!
Getting fit and healthy eats were my goal last year. I actually stuck with it till the holidays arrived! I also ran the Marine Corp Marathon in October of this year. It was my first one! Congrats on your milestone. I definitely plan on doing another one. Let me know if you register this upcoming year : ) I wish you the best of luck on accomplishing your goals for 2012!
Go lady! I know you’ll make all of these and more happen this year 🙂 This is going to be my first year trying out resolutions (never done that before!) and I hope I keep with them. I know how satisfying it feels to check something off Little Bit Heart’s goal list so I want that same feeling on the personal side.
[…] so if any of yall read this post, you may be wondering when #6 will be revealed/come to fruition. Well, I’m super stoked […]
