Little to her knowledge, Riley was already on my list of dream clients when she reached out in the Spring of 2019 for her first round of brand portraits. I remember seeing her email come through and thinking “this has to be God’s way of telling me we’re on the right track.”

We’d just recently decided to lean into brand photography more intentionally (as opposed to the sporadic sessions I’d been booking, that I always failed to market afterwards)), and Riley was on a short list I’d made of business owners I’d love to one day work with. And sure enough, just a few weeks after I made that list, her email came through.

I can’t believe her first shoot was three years ago! Riley’s business has *exploded* since then- she already had significant momentum in 2019, and watched her blow up in the world of art, illustration, and textile design has been so exciting! Last Spring she launched a line of wallpaper and textiles, in addition to the collaborations she’s adored for- working with companies like Dogwood Hill, Moda Operandi, Solly Baby, Sister Parish, and so many more.

Her work is instantly recognizable- her playful illustrations and experimentation with new mediums keeps her audience watching with bated breath to see what she’ll dream up next.

Photographing for Riley was a dream- willing to do whatever needed to happen to make her shoot a success, trusting me with slightly harebrained ideas, and the kindest soul to spend time around. For round 2, I had the joy of meeting Riley’s righthand person, Catherine! These two make an incredible duo, and hearing their conversations about how the brand has scaled and the thought and intention that goes into each new collection and collaboration was truly inspiring.

Riley & Catherine, thank you for trusting me with these, again! I’m more proud of you than I can say, having seen you working and growing with such purpose over the last several years. I can’t wait to see where you go next, and it’s a JOY to dream and create alongside you!
