Happy Monday from the Outer Banks! I’m here with some of my favorite girls for our annual United Girls getaway. The last couple of years we’ve done Charleston so this is our first time in North Carolina, and OBX is such a relaxing spot to be when you’re simply looking for REST. And we took it one step further and chose a house in the 4×4-only area, it feels even more remote. This was the first time in a long time where I’ve been 100% ok waking up at sunrise, since the light coming in from the window was coming up over the water. It’s so peaceful out here!

It SNOWED last week! And despite the nine inches promised, we only got about 3. And then it all iced over the next night, which was about the most depressing way to spend the last full week of winter. But today’s the first day of SPRING! And I couldn’t be more excited about it- Spring is when all things come alive again and there’s almost nothing that thrills me more than driving through town and seeing all the trees in full bloom. Ah! It’s going to be glorious!

As always, lessons learned/events that transpired over the last week!

  • Waiting til the last minute to record a video lesson (or three) is always a bad idea. Always. Because sometimes, when you need to finish recording by Sunday morning and you don’t start until Saturday, Mother Nature decides it’s a great idea to RAIN.
  • Which means you can’t record in your office due to the noise… so you set up shop in your laundry room instead.
  • And then you spend two hours recording on a Saturday night….only to realize that NONE OF THE SOUND was saved, due to a super weird quirk in your software. So that was humbling. #bossladylife
  • Can we talk about Beauty & the Beast? We went to go see it on Thursday night and I loved 90% of it, but I want to hear what everyone else thinks!
  • Road trips are so much easier to handle when you have a book on CD to listen to. Harry Potter is obviously my default because Jim Dale is an incredible narrator, but this time I mixed it up and am listening to The Hunger Games. It’s crazy how much more alert I am when listening to a story, instead of just music!

Hey! Did you hear that I’m hosting my first ever email challenge?! Today is Day 1 of Emailing Like A Boss: Five Days to a Six-Figure Inbox Strategy and I am SO excited to see what happens over the next week! If you missed the heads up, no sweat- get on the list for the challenge here!

A couple of frames from one of my favorite Spring ballerina sessions every, because CHERRY BLOSSOMS!

    Love these ballerina photos. Beautiful!

  2. Natalie says:

Earlier this year I read the book The Night Circus and it was amazing, then I realized the audiobook was narrated by Jim Dale! I want to listen to it again on audio because he is the best. Just another recommendation because I think you would love it!
