It’s another Creative At Heart Monday! I’m here in Annapolis with almost 100 other like-minded creatives, and it’s only the morning of Day 2 and my brain is spinning on overdrive. I’m squirreled away in a corner typing my blog, so we’ll make this short and sweet so that I can get back in and hear all the wisdom Davey & Krista Jones have to offer on Google and SEO!

It’s been a crazy few weeks- I got a text yesterday from a friend yesterday that said “You’ve been extroverting so hard lately. How are you not exhausted?” And my sarcastic response was “because I’m an extrovert!” But truly, I am a little bit tired. In the best way possible! But still tired, so Matt and I are taking some time away from the office next week. This is his last full week at his day job, and once he’s done, we’re going to start things off with a bit of rest. And I’m for sure looking forward to that!

As always, lessons learned/events that transpired over the past week:

  • Be forewarned that if you’re an intoxicated male and you walk past a group of my friends and I (as we discuss business, strategy, marketing, and a myriad of other intelligent topics that creative entrepreneurs concern themselves with) and remark on how beautiful we all are, I WILL tell you to keep stepping. Because there is so much more to my friends than *just* being beautiful. #mamabear
  • We finally went to the doctor about my ankle! Good news: it’s not broken. Bad news: it’ll still take a couple of weeks to get back to normal. So in the mean time, no jumping/prancing/dancing/running. BOO.
  • I’m so in love with red lipstick. I think I might even include that on my About Me page as soon as we switch my website over to ShowIt 5, I love it that much.
  • If you’re ever in Charleston, SC and are looking for the best Moscow Mule of your life, go to Prohibition. Seriously the best one I’ve ever had!
  • I freaking LOVE Snapchat. I’m becoming increasingly obsessed with it because I love the fact that there’s no concern over feed consistency, and if I want to post three videos of my dogs in one day, I can do so without worrying that it’ll annoy my audience. As of now my Snapchat is still private, but Matt’s been pushing me to open it up to anyone who wants to follow. So we’ll have to see about that…

A little snippet from our brief head shot sesh with Ethan last week! I love that I’ve turned my big brother into a photographer- he’s naturally gifted, which means coaching over the last year has been super easy. And it also means I can call him on a Friday to ask if he’d be willing to come over for a few quick head shots on a Saturday morning. We took these for my bridal guide that I finally, finally finished- I am SO EXCITED to send it out to my brides!!
