My favorite thing about these two was how much tradition and symbolism was woven throughout their wedding day. A bit of lace from her mother’s wedding dress sewn into her gown, the socks Mike gifted to all of the men involved in the wedding party, the grandparents’ wedding bands, a letter from Jen’s grandmother to Jen’s mother on her wedding day in 1973, and more. This wasn’t just a wedding day celebrating two individuals, but a joyful coming together of two families. The traditions were steeped in love and respect, two ingredients essential for a love that goes the distance.
Mike & Jen, your wedding day left me higher than a kite. Thank you for letting me in on such an important day, for seemingly forgetting the camera was there at all. It was such an absolute joy to document this day for you and your families! Lots and lots of love to you both!
