When a wedding photographer gets married, it’s always exciting to see how their wedding day will unfold, after having seen and photographed so many themselves! I first met Casey in France when she attended our destination workshop in 2017, and just KNEW there was a proposal on the horizon- it was so evident when she spoke about Chad that this guy had completely captured her heart. And then when I finally had the chance to see them together for myself at their Paris engagement session and their wedding portraits at the Château de Bouthonvilliers, I could see why Casey’s face lit up when she talked about Chad. He loves her so well, and with such thoughtfulness. Together, they’re playful and fun and never stop laughing.

For their winter wedding, Casey planned for so many thoughtful touches throughout the day- from the celebratory bottle of bubbly from Italy to the bridal portrait album she presented to her mama, from how they incorporated their parents to Casey wearing her grandmother’s pearls, everything felt as though it was chosen or implemented on purpose. The intentionality behind it all was one of my favorite aspects of their day!

Casey & Chad, I’m still so honored that you asked me to be the one to capture your wedding day, engagement + proposal, and pre-wedding portraits. I know you two have a LOT of photo friends, so the significance of being the one to capture these sweet memories for you was not lost on me. I hope these photographs always remind you of how much support you have from those you love most! Big hugs to you both!
