She was home for winter break from JMU when she first spotted him. They were at a bar where Jeff was waiting to meet someone else, and as the minutes dragged on and the acquaintance never showed, Tracy helped fill the time as they were introduced and got to chatting. At the end of the evening when Jeff had to leave, he asked her if it would be alright to request her phone number? “Dear God, how how I never met this guy before?” she asked herself, as they’d attended rival high schools and grown up within a few miles of each other.

Fast forward to seven years later- they’d settled in well with each other. Things were going well, and since neither of them had talked seriously of marriage, it was no wonder Tracy was taken completely aback by a sweet anniversary card that asked if she’d be his forever. “Are you proposing to me??” she’d asked. “Yes.” And suddenly, marriage seemed like the most beautiful thing in the world.

Jeff & Tracy, I am SO thankful to have had the chance to get to know you last week! You fit so perfectly together and seriously- one day when you run for office Jeff, use these photos. Because you all belong in a magazine. Or on the Hill. I haven’t decided yet. I cannot WAIT for your wedding in Puerto Rico in December!! Love you both!
