They first met in 9th grade but it wasn’t for another three and a half years that they would finally see each other. He first noticed her laugh and her vibrant red hair. She noticed that he always sat sideways in his desk. So one day after class, he mustered up the courage to ask her on a date. She agreed and wore a green dress to their night out, he reminisced. He glanced over to make sure he’d remembered the color correctly and saw laughter brewing in her smile. “No, black,” he corrected himself. “Yes, it was definitely a black dress.”
If ever there was a couple as in love as Jamie and Abbeigh, I’ve yet to meet them. Their uncontainable joy is infectious and being around them is enough to make me fall a bit more in love with my own husband.
Last weekend I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon in Annapolis with Jamie and Abbeigh, exploring the wandering streets of the town and the gorgeous architecture of the Naval Academy where Jamie is in his last year. After a few hours with them, I can not WAIT for their wedding next summer at the Naval Academy Chapel!
We started out in a narrow alley just off the street. The photo below is the first frame of the entire session. Get it, girl!
Prior to last weekend, I’d never had the opportunity to shoot in Annapolis. I love the village-y feel to the town!
How adorable are they?
After meandering through Annapolis, we headed over to the Naval Academy. The building below is the the Naval Academy Chapel where Jamie and Abbeigh will be married next summer. After walking through the Chapel, we headed out a set of doors and happened upon this little space- I was in love with the glow from the windows!
Abbeigh I am totally jealous of your red hair and rocking smeyezing. Favorite.
LOVE.
This is Jamie’s dorm. He gets to LIVE there. So beautiful!
I’m digging Abbeigh’s navy blue TOMS. We’re two birds of a feather.
A quick outfit change, and then we headed over to the waterfront.
Jamie showed me a set of three benches that sat next to the water that said “HONOR,” “COURAGE” and “COMMITMENT,” three core values of the United States Marine Corps and the United Stated Navy. We figured the last one was appropriate, given the nature of our portrait session.
I lied. THIS one is my favorite.
Happy Monday!
